A FANTASTIC FOUR

“As Jesus went to Jerusalem, He passed between Samaria and Galilee. As He entered a village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood at a distance. They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned with a loud voice glorifying, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Jesus said, “Were not the ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Were there not any found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner?” Then He said to him, “Rise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” (Luke 17: 11-17 Modern English Version)

I’m just going to give you four lesson this Friday, a fantastic four, all important and applicable to you. Are you ready? They all come from the passage above. (1) When you call on Jesus, and He responds to you in His word, it may not be the response which you were anticipating, but you respond in agreement with the response He gives you. All ten lepers showed some degree of faith and went to show themselves to the priests. They were not healed immediately, as I presume, they desired, but rather as they obeyed and headed out on their way the healing took place.  When Jesus gives you a directive and it does not seem like it is the answer you were looking, remember, you are to walk by faith and not by sight. (2) Don’t just go to Jesus for a physical healing or for help with a problem but go to Him for a spiritual healing. (3) When the Lord blesses you, and you know it was no One but the Lord, you make sure you go to Him in prayer and thank Him, even if you are the only one to do so. (4) When the Lord blesses you, give Him the glory! Praise Him and praise Him if not one else does! You praise Him only by yourself!

Have a good Friday! Start looking ahead in anticipation of being in the assembly of the saints right now, before you finalize your weekend plans. Stay God-conscious and Christ centered. Be blessed!

Committed to the climb,
