“Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to [the abundance of] His greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with tambourine and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flute. Praise Him with resounding cymbals; Praise Him with loud cymbals. Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)” (Psalm 150 Amplified Bible)
No doubt! I have absolutely no doubt! You are going to find your way to church this morning; taking advantage of being in the special presence of God, the One who blessed you, sustained you, provided for you, strengthened you, and met your true needs each and every day since last Sunday. So let me help you! Let me give you a little “Psalm-Thing,” “Psalm Thing!”
In our Bible Study Classes this week, held virtually, live, and interactive, on three separate days, we were in Revelation 19, and we learned that this was the only chapter where the word “Hallelujah” appears in the New Testament. Participants in the study will tell you that the word “Hallelujah” means “Praise the Lord” and the “jah” part in the word is an abbreviation for Yahweh. The participants in each class are attentive, always, and they retain what they are taught, internalizing that which will not only enhance their knowledge but equip them for Christian living and soul winning. So I’m sure they would refer you to the “Hallelujah” Psalms,’ Psalms 104-150, and tell you that a doxology, ascribing praise to our God can occur at anywhere in the worship service; beginning, middle, or end right before the benediction. That makes sense because it’s always good to give praise to God! Amen!
Here is the “Psalm-Thing” that you can take from Psalm 150 above and apply it today! You can take knowledge of where to praise God in verses 1. You can take away reasons, in general, why to praise God this morning in verse 2! You can take away from verses 3-6 that you can use instruments; you can willingly make some noise to heaven; and you can impact the dynamics of worship at your church today! Don’t let anybody, any thought, anything you are going through, or anything that the person sitting on your row in church may do keep you from giving praise to Yahweh! Hallelujah!
When you look at verse 6 of Psalm 150, you can takeaway, since you have some breath at all, you need to join in the praising of the Lord in your worship experience today and, by doing so, you will enhance the dynamics of the service in a positive way, making hearts positively ready to hear what thus saith the Lord! Also, in verse 6, if you still need a little “Psalm-Thing,” read that last verse again: “Praise the Lord!” “Hallelujah!” “Alleluia!” “Praise the Lord!” And just in case, by chance you need a little more, “Psalm-Thing,” “Psalm-Thing,” meditate on the closing verse below. Be blessed!
“Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever! Who can put into words the mighty deeds of the Lord? Or who can proclaim all His praise [that is due Him]?” (Psalm 106:1-2 Amplified Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
