“Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My Chosen One in whom My soul delights.
I have put My Spirit upon Him; He bring forth justice to the nations. He will not call out or shout aloud, nor make His voice heard in the street. A broken reed He will not break [off] and a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish [He will not harm those who are weak and suffering]; He will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not be disheartened or crushed [in spirit]; He will persevere] until He has established justice on the earth; and the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law.”(Isaiah 42:1-4 Amplified Bible)
We used to sing a song that contained these words, “Woke up this morning with my mind, stayed on Jesus.” Do you remember those times? Well, this Friday morning, my assignment is to simply make sure that you start your day, by waking up thinking about Jesus, the One appointed by God to give us a new covenant; the One who brings about justice, the One who persevered on His sent mission; the One who gave us clear guidelines, principles for living, and helped us understand the law. Yes, wake up this morning with your mind, stayed on Jesus!
Jesus, the One who showed up as the long-awaited Messiah; the One who came and fulfilled His righteous purpose; the One who the Father God watched over; the One who brought light into a dark world; the One who set prisoners free, including you and including me! Yes, again I say, wake up this morning, surely God-conscious, but definitely Christ-centered! Wake up with your mind stayed on Jesus. And mind you, not just this morning, or this day, but all the moments of life that you are blessed to see.
Thank the Lord, for Jesus! Praise God, for Jesus! Have a closer walk today, with Jesus! Keep your mind, stayed on Jesus, no matter what you face! There is not a better way to start your day, your weekend, or the next phase of your life. Be blessed!
“I am the Lord, I have called You (the Messiah) in righteousness [for a righteous purpose], I will also take You by the hand and keep watch over You, and I will appoint You as a covenant to the people [Israel], as a light to the nations (Gentiles), to open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from the dungeon and those who sit in darkness from the prison.”(Isaiah 42:6-7 The Amplified Bible)
