“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV)
Good Monday morning! Look at the inspired word of God! In one sentence, all the details of the gospel can be found. In one statement, comprised of fewer than thirty words, the gospel is presented in a nutshell. At the start of the week, on this Monday morning, we should stop and look at the completeness of the verse above. Regardless of your preferred translation, since you know Jesus as your Savior, when you read this verse, something should make you smile! Your confidence, and your consciousness, and your certain faith should produce more than a grin on your face. It should cause you to feel some assurance, feel as a recipient of amazing grace, and feel adequately prepared to share the good news with others when the opportunity presents itself.
Read John 3:16 and see if the Scripture above does not meet all the requirements that your English Composition professor said to make sure you include in your lengthy, required report on any subject. Check it out! You see the who, the what, the why, and the whosoever. In this brief statement, you can also focus on the when from the birth of Christ until the time of your new birth in Jesus. On the inside you ought to be feeling good and on the outside, you should want to do good today because of what our good Lord did that changed your eternal destiny! Yesterday, the last point of my preached sermon was “Let’s march on!” Dwell on these words and the pointed truth in John 3:16 and look back at what God did in the past, see what He did in the present, and peak into the future as you meditate this morning. March on! Have a wonderful start to your day! Read the expanded passage below first! Share this good news with somebody today as a reminder or to reach out to one who has not joined the ranks of a believer. Be blessed!
Still committed to the climb,
