AN ALPHABETIC ESSENTIAL

“At this the woman came and fell at his feet. “Help me, sir!” she said. Jesus answered, “It isn’t right to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.” “That’s true, sir,” she answered, “but even the dogs eat the leftovers that fall from their masters’ table.” So, Jesus answered her, “You are a woman of great faith! What you want will be done for you.” And at that very moment her daughter was healed.” (Matthew 15:25-28 The Good News Bible)

Let me present you with three letters from my “pen,” letters that some of you have written on index cards or on other types of paper, or you have these special letters readily available to pull out of your heart on days that they are needed. That should have evoked a laugh or some type of unplanned response, because most of us, if not all of us, agree with the words taken from an old church hymn, “I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee.”

Nevertheless, it was placed on my heart to share them with you on the first day of the new year, and hope that you utilize them often in 2024.

The three letters are, wait for it, wait, for it, HMJ. These three letters are an alphabetic essential for every believer and they stand for “Help me Jesus!” Remember these letters and their meaning, refer to them often this year, and rejoice in knowing that “Jesus is on the mainline.”

This has been your Monday Short meditation, appropriate for this date, January 1, 2024. Be blessed!

P.S. Sister LW, when are you going to make those HMJ T-Shirts available?  Smile!

“Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.” (I Thessalonians 5:16-17 The Message Bible)
