“AN OPEN HOUSE INVITATION”

“Come, let’s worship and bow down, let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker.  For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.  Today, if you will hear His voice.” (Psalm 95:6-7 NASB)

This year, starting sometime in the month of May, parents started hosting Open House gatherings to honor their sons and daughters who graduated at one level on their education journey.  Invitees are treated to a feast and enjoy great fellowship.  Many times more people than expected show up, but miraculously there is food for everyone prepared by and provided by the hosts.  Invited guests, without anyone twisting of their arms, come with gifts to present at the Open House.  Open House season, for the most part, will end with the summer months.  I said “for the most part” because there is one exception.

Tomorrow, on Sunday, and each and every Sunday, know that you are personally invited to the Open House we call Morning Worship Service.  There are some similarities with the graduation Open House gatherings.  There is plenty of food, manna from heaven, to feast on and there is great fellowship where one can benefit from interaction with other invitees and the special presence of the Host.  Guess what?  You are on the invitation list!  Yes, you have an Open House Invitation!  The question is, “Will you go?”  Like the school Open House celebrations, invited guests bring gifts, but no one twist their arms, at least not at my church.  Invited, blessed guests bring what they have purposed to give in their hearts.  Yet, remember this, “You cannot beat the Host’s giving, no matter how hard you try.”  One more thing and then I will be done.  This Open House Invitation is extended week after week.  The gatherings never stop!  As a matter of fact, there is one tomorrow at a place of worship near you.  I have a question, kind of repetitive, but it is truly one which you should ponder this Saturday morning.  “Will you accept the Open House invitation?”  I hope so because when you accept and attend, you will leave better than you came in!  Have a good day!  Oh, do me a favor!  Share this Open House Invitation with someone else, relatives and friends.  Do it today before you get started going through your day!  While there is a great day we refer to and say, “What a day of rejoicing it will be,” tomorrow at this one-of-a-kind Open House, we will sing and shout the victory!  Praise God!  Be blessed!

“Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again.  Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35 NLT)

Still committed to the climb,
