“Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.” (Ephesians 4:31-32 Good News Translation)
I have written Mark Writes meditation daily since the start of 2017. I have been careful to acknowledge the incorporation of quotes of others. Today is no exception. I will not mention them by their full name, but I will just say, “Thank You” to Bonita and Glorita. Why? Well, the reason is what I am about to share with you would not have been possible without these two faithful sisters. Bonnie, thinking of her church, purchased six posters that had short but serious messages on them. She believed that if they were posted on one of the bulletin boards in the hallway leading to the sanctuary, some worshippers would take the time to read them and be edified enlightened or educated. Bonnie gave them to Gloria. Gloria agreed and took the initiative to change three bulletin boards in the church hallway, taking down old postings and replacing them with the ones Bonnie had purchased. Let me share what one of them said, a challenge to all believers, as well as those who are having difficulty traveling through life because they have not accepted Jesus Christ and His profound teaching, personified examples, and perfect principles. Now, before you read it, I have to tell you that there is no name on the poster, but somebody else came up with the saying that I am sharing. Here are the words I read while walking down the hallway at church.
A BAD ATTITUDE
IS LIKE A
FLAT TIRE
YOU CAN’T GO
ANYWHERE
UNTIL YOU
CHANGE IT!
Read it again! Remember it every day that you know your attitude is not right, for one reason or another. Replace your bad attitude with a good attitude. Read those bulletin boards the next time you walk down the hallway at church. Refer to the verses below, for love will always help you avoid having a bad attitude. Be blessed!
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.” (I Corinthians 13:4-5 NLT)
Committed to the climb,
