BUT GOD

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the rock and strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26 The Amplified Bible)

There was something I needed to do, but I couldn’t do it by myself. I had no one to depend on; no, I had no one else – but God.

There was a need to beat the devil, yet time after time, I could not get it done. No person I knew could help me win, no not one – but God.

My spirit was low and I took a mental dive. I sought out wise counsel to rescue me, and after no success, I concluded that there is no one to make my inner being come alive.  – but God.

There is no one who I can turn to for help, all hours of the day. You know how it is, don’t you, when no one is readily available 24 hours to help you along the way – but God.

My spirituality took a hit, I was knocked down low, and I was sinking deep in despair. Yet it seemed to me that no one seemed to care – but God.

Stumbling, complaining, and all the time crying. No one could help me stand, stop the griping, and quit all that whining – but God.

So about now, if you are asking, “Why all this poetic expression?” – just read the verse below, store it in your heart and use in when you need to look above and make a beneficial connection!  Have a great worship service today! Be blessed!

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” (Psalm 46:1 NLT)

Committed to the climb,

  2. But God…had it not been for the Lord Who was on my side, where would I be? Thank you Father for always being there.

    1. Always remember the phrase in thanksgiving and in anticipating a future outcome. Thank you for your response. Be blessed!
