“So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, ‘May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!’ A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s situation might not be changed.” (Daniel 6:16-17 NIV) “At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, ‘Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?’ Daniel answered, ‘May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.’” (Daniel 6:19-22 NIV)
What I’m writing today, regardless of how you perceive the length, I hope it lands on your heart and hopefully remains there for a long time. Those who attend the Bible Study classes I teach have heard this already, but even for them, the content is relevant and worth repeating.
As you can tell from the verses above and below, when God wants to bring you out of something, you can’t stop Him. Let me say it again, “When God wants to bring you out of something, you can’t stop Him.” Do you need witnesses? Well, ask Noah who was saved from destruction when and sailed on to a new beginning! Ask the children of Israel who were in Egyptian captivity! Ask Lot who was brought out of Sodom and Gomorrah! Ask God’s people who were held in Babylon captivity!
Ask Lazarus who was raised from the dead by One who said He was the resurrection and the life! Ask Paul and Silas who the Lord brought out of a Philippian inner prison! Oh, in case you are saying, “All that was long ago,” just look in the mirror and ask yourself, “Did anyone or anything stop God when He brought me out of darkness into the marvelous light, and I was saved by grace through faith?” And on top of that, week after week, when He sends you a specific message by His specific messenger, for a specific purpose, whether you have ears to hear or not, know that when God wants to bring you out of something, you can’t stop Him. One more! Didn’t He rescue you when you were sinking deep in sin, again, and again? Uh-huh! Be honest now!
If you need to be brought out of something, I suggest that you turn to God and ask Him to graciously and mercifully bring you out to a place I call “Better!” Have a great day! Be blessed!
“As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus. Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.” (Matthew 27:57-60 NIV) “After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” (Matthew 28:1-6 NIV)

I’m so glad, that trouble “don’t last always.” He is amazing and I thank Him for His amazing grace. I’m so glad that nothing can stop God from bringing me out to bring me in.
