If you thought this was an article about a crime show, sorry. This is not about a crime show, but rather the abbreviation in the title above, CCI, stands for Christian Collaboration Intelligence! First, let’s define collaboration. According to the Dictionary.com, collaboration is (1) the act of working together or cooperation, and (2) a product resulting from working together or cooperating.
Because the word is profitable, let me refer you to The Book of Nehemiah. If you read it for the first time or if you review what you learned previously about the rebuilding of the torn down wall of Jerusalem, you will see that collaboration took place, meeting both aspects of the definition above. Relating to the first definition, in the face of opposition, ridicule, and threats, the people continued to work together. They had Collaboration Intelligence. Nehemiah 6:4 says, “So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart.” As it relates to the second definition above, describing collaboration as a product resulting from working together and cooperating, Nehemiah 6:15 says, “So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.”
Inarguably, indisputably, Collaboration Intelligence was a key to the success of the rebuilding of the wall. But guess what? Glad you responded with the question, “What?” So, let me answer you! By doing so I can get the Christian part of CCI explained. In our local churches across the globe, we are engaged in kingdom building work in general, and specifically the building of the universal church, as instructed in the Great Commission (See the closing verse below.) Our work never ends, and it won’t until Jesus returns. In view of that truth, periodic checks should reveal that Christian Collaboration Intelligence is happening. Yes, clear evidence should stand out noticeably. It should be evident by the number of souls won and the growth of local church rolls, that all of us, all believers, including you, are continuing to work together and cooperate in doing what Jesus told us to do.
If you have been a critic, be part of the collaboration. If you have ceased to help the building of the church, putting your hands to the work, then again, I say, be part of the collaboration. If you have considered the work to be fruitless, start being faithful and be part of the collaboration.
Now, if you react to this meditation properly and don’t just read the content, the kingdom will show signs of growth immediately. Let’s show some CCI, Christian Collaborative Intelligence. Be blessed!
“Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 The Amplified Bible)
