CHRISTIAN TIME

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery]. “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden…” (Matthew 5:13-14 The Amplified Bible)

No! It is not a typing error!  I was not trying to write “Christmas Time.”  I purposely meant to type the words, “Christian Time.”

What if we thought of “Christian Time,” every single day? If we did, every day we are blessed to see, not just this brief holiday season, would fall in the category of the most wonderful time of the year and we would be cheerful all the way. Yes! If we thought of “Christian Time,” our lights would be shining bright, both far and near always, wherever we find our stay. Our houses would be decorated every day, adorned with love and peace, the least I shall say. Joy would be reflected all over the earth, and not a day would go by without thinking about Jesus’ birth.

Excitement would never disappear from our heart, and thinking of the least of these, well, such thoughts would never depart. No special effort would be made to be the latter word in the term “naughty or nice.” Doing good would be doubled, at least multiplied twice. Enterprises may take center stage with all that is has to sell, but evangelism would overtake it, for we have a story to tell.  Visits to relative’s houses would still be a thing to do, but fellowshipping with the saints would not be overlooked or something that id overdue.  “Christian Time!”  Give this some though some consideration, what you have read in this meditation.

Okay, I’m done with my novice poetic effort, but no that the Lord wants you to go through each day you are blessed to see, knowing it is “Christian Time” for both you and for me.  We are salt and light! We must deny self and follow the Savior, for this is right!  Be blessed!

“And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]” (Luke 9:23 The Amplified Bible)
