“EASY PEASY”

“Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem.  You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day.  God’s way of salvation is made available through the Jews.  But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter.  “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God.  Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth.  That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”  (John 4: Luke 10:36-37 NASB)

This Monday short is “easy peasy,” for I am simply sharing a few words that one faithful reader sent me and said, “See what you can do with this.”  Other than the scriptures above and below, and in addition to my closing comments, let me clarify, to avoid anyone misconstruing of the quote below by making it clear that there is only one true and living God and He and His inseparable Son, Jesus (I and the Father are one.), is where we find the real source for wisdom.  “What can I do with this,” “this” being a quote from a renown poet?  Well, I felt that the best thing to do to generate your thinking this Monday was to share these words from Maya Angelou.  Pretty “easy peasy,” right?  She wrote:

“The thing to do, it seems to me, is to prepare yourself so you can be a rainbow in somebody else’s cloud.  Somebody who may not look like you.  May not call God the same name you call God – if they call God at all.  I may not dance your dances or speak your language.  But be a blessing to somebody.  That’s why I think.”

Things to do: Embrace diversity in your interactions, but don’t exit one step from your faith in God and don’t sidestep the Scriptures!  Prepare yourself to let the Christ in you serve as an uplifting rainbow for someone who is down!  Realize that Christ came to save the world!  And know that saving leads to changing!  Bless somebody by your presence by helping them know the One in whom we exist, move, and have our being.  Examine the thoughts of others but extend your thinking to the truth in God’s word.  Stay God-conscious!  Have a good start to the workweek!  Be blessed!

Still committed to the climb,
