ENDINGS ARE JUST NEW BEGINNINGS!

“Ends are not bad things, they just mean that something else is about to begin. And there are many things that don’t really end, anyway, they just begin again in a new way. Ends are not bad, and many ends aren’t really an ending; some things are never-ending.” (Quote for C. JoyBell C on Goodreads)

After pastoring a church from 1990 to 2025, the Lord let me know it was a time for me to pass the torch. I didn’t argue with the Lord. Afterall, who wins that type of argument anyway? I may not be a senior pastor ever again, but only God knows what’s next. Yet in the meantime, I plan to look at my ending as a new beginning and acknowledge that while the way I serve may be changed, I my promise to serve the Lord until I die will never change.

The Apostle Paul’s words below helped me, and they will help you whenever you are faced with any type of ending; the ending of a job, the ending of a cherished relationship, the ending of exceling in a sport, or the ending of youth, you know, where you say, “I once was young.”

Well, my friend, know that God, He will help you look at all types of endings differently and then the ending won’t be a great difficulty or viewed from a detrimental perspective.  Do this! Look through the prism of a new beginning and press on, walking by faith and not by sight to see what the Lord has in store for you. This counsel is applicable to every area of your life, but especially in fulfilling the purpose that God has left you here for on this earth, Endings? No, just really new beginnings! Be blessed!

No, dear brothers, I am still not all I should be, but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us.” (Philippians 3:13-14 The Living Bible)

  1. Seven months ago, after working 18 years for one company, I thought it was the end of the road. But God reminded me through Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I held on to His word, and within 2 months He opened a door for me. For the past 5 months I’ve been blessed to work with another company, gaining new skills, new experiences, and new confidence.

And now, on 10/62025, I begin yet another chapter in my journey. 🙌🏾

What felt like an ending was really just the setup for God’s greater plan. Trust Him — He truly knows the path ahead. 💜 You have lefft your fingerprints on Salt of The Earth Church.

    1. LaTanza, thank your for sharing your experience, reiterating and proving that endings are new beginnings. Sounds like there is some more good news coming on October 6! Thank you for your “fingerprints” comment! Be blessed!

  2. Amen! I’m encouraged by the message. Thank you Sis LaTanza for her posting of encouragement. Rejoice in the new season! Let us continue to serve the Lord😀
