As I watched the national news earlier this week, on May 7th, there was a news reporter showing how long the lines were in an east coast city where people were waiting to get their Real ID driver’s license. The requirement to have such an identification to travel by air was introduced a few years ago, but the requirement was delayed due to the pandemic. The people in line obviously did not have a sense of urgency since there was a delay in implementing the requirement. Now, because of procrastination, putting off doing what needed to be done, or due to persuading self that such action would never be required; now they stood, waiting in a long line for hours, not knowing if they would get their Real ID before the license branch closed. Personally, I didn’t have to worry about it since I went ahead and got mine a couple of years ago. Surely some individuals did not get their Real ID by the deadline, and they would have to possibly delay or postpone travel plans to their desired destination.
While neither you nor me can help individuals who have yet to get their Real ID from the license branch, avoiding long lines and wondering if they will even get to make their planned trip, but we can help them get a Real ID, the one that really counts, in an expeditious way. How so? Read on!
Make sure your family and friends who have yet to get what they need to travel to the best destination ever, speaking of heaven, of course; make sure they get this “Expedited Real ID Tip.” How? I suggest that you just tell them, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved.” This is a lifesaving, “Expedited Real ID Tip!” Explain how one can avoid any lines, sidestep any lost, valuable time waiting, and circumvent being unable to make the trip to where all God’s children will get together.
Smile, even if I am charging you with the responsibility of being an evangelist or an enthusiastic missionary, once again. You see, I don’t have a problem doing so because if you do what I described in the paragraph above, somebody you love will not miss being saved. And while they are waiting for Jesus’ to come for those who have been saved, they will not have to flash any Real ID card to explain who they are, not at all. They can just say, “I am a child of God. I am one of the redeemed! I have been born again, washed in the blood of the crucified One.”
Let these words that immediately follow this sentence be true, as they apply to you. Sometimes, no words will be needed to start a conversation with an unsaved person regarding the real, really real, Real ID. Why? Because people will see the Christ in you, they will want what you have! Rejoice my friend, for you have your Real ID already, right? Say, “Yes!” Yet, I encourage you to reach out as a witness for the Lord to others who can benefit from the “Expedited Real ID Tip.” Have a great day! Praise God in the sanctuary tomorrow! Be blessed!
