“For He was teaching His disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is to be handed over to men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise three days later.” (Mark 9:31 NASB)
Let’s keep it short on this first day of the week, so you can make sure to get up out of your bed, get up out of your favorite big chair that you fell asleep in Saturday night, and get away from any temptation to forget that this is the Lord’s Day and not your day.
I’ll simply state two short sentences, intended to undo/cancel all the unacceptable reasons for not going to church today, “He got up for you! So, you get up for Him!”
Have a great time at your local church! Be blessed!
“On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee.” (Luke 24:1-6 NIV)
