HE TOLD ME TO GIVE YOU THIS LOVE NOTE

“But now, God’s Message, the God who made you in the first place…the One who got you started…: “Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name.  You’re mine.  When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.  When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.  When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—Because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.  I paid a huge price for you…!  That’s how much you mean to me!  That’s how much I love you!  I’d sell off the whole world to get you back, trade the creation just for you.” (Isaiah 43: 2-4 MSG)

It is time for your “Monday Short” meditation, but it is inspiring and incredibly reassuring.  That I promise you.  Just like elementary school when one pupil asked another student to pass a folded up, private, confidential note to that certain, special person, I was told to pass this love note to you, for you or special in God’s sight.  Just read it and take it personal!  Oh, there are no hearts drawn on the outside of this note, and you did not find any initials formed like an addition problem, but it is sent to you from the heart of God, and perhaps I should have written under the title “G + Y” (God plus you!  For His love for you is a faithful love.

After reading it, you should feel relevant, really loved, and ready to go through another week knowing that you will not be alone, regardless of what you have to go through, whether the week is a breeze or a week filled with big concerns.  Now your response to the love note that I dutifully passed on to you should be as the words taken from the verse below.  Following the Psalmist’s example should lift you up.  Stay God-conscious.  God is an awesome God, and He loves you!  Face the week without fear.  Have a great week!  Be blessed!

Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart…” (Psalm 119:11a Amplified Bible)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
