“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the Lord your God gives you.” (Exodus 20:12 NASB)
Do this every day, and not just today! Honor mothers who are still in the land of the living and honor those whose souls are already present with the Lord. Express gratitude to the Lord when you pray, thanking Him for your mother. Would you be who you are or where you are without her? Would you even be in the house of the Lord this morning without her example of faith in God, as she showed you relentlessly, persistently, and consistently that it pays to put your trust in Him? I don’t think so. Honor mother and honor all the mother figures in your life. Let your form of honor go beyond gift giving and let your honor show forth in godly living! Be her legacy! Be blessed!
