HOW DO I GET MORE PATIENCE?

“Love is patient… (I Corinthians 13:4 NLT)

The other day as my compulsion for decorating without spending a dime, using what was already in the house, as I put two olive green wall-hangings in the upstairs bathroom, I read the words in the center of the framed art. It was titled, “Patience…” In smaller print, the message was completed, “…a man’s wisdom gives patience.”  After I finished my mini-project, I went to the word of God to increase my wisdom. I had to since more than one person has told me to work on having patience.

The first verse I looked at was Romans 8:25. Let me share what this verse says with you, in more than one translation. Perhaps, if by chance you ever find yourself seeking a prescription for exhibiting more patience, this will help you too. Let love arise! Keep hope alive! Be blessed!

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” (Romans 8:25 New International Version)

“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.” (Romans 8:25 The Amplified Bible)

“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” (Romans 8: 25 Good News Translation)

Committed to the climb,
