“A man who has friends must show himself friendly…” (Proverbs 18:24 Modern English Version)
You do not need to read a nine-chapter book with the same title as above to learn how to gain friends. There is no need to attend a two-day special seminar, that meets four- and-a-half hours each day; a total of nine hours. You do not need to buy a used nine-dollar CD about making friends and avoiding enemies.
All you need to do is simply apply the wisdom in the cited verse above, regardless of your gender, generational label, or any general status. Simply apply the insight that is contained in the inspired word of God, specifically referring to the first part of a bible verse that we usually relate to our primary and one’s best possible friendship; our friendship with Jesus. I’ll come back to the latter in a minute. But think about your options first. Nine chapters, ha! Nine hours, ha! Nine dollars for a CD? Ha! The text above, from the MEV Bible says what you need to know in nine words, “A man who has friends must show himself friendly.” To make sure that you digest that portion of Proverbs 18:24, please look at “him” in the generic sense, applying to male and female.
Now, let’s look at “Him.” As promised, I’ll get back to the second part of the verse by confirming by means of my personal experiences, “What a friend we have in Jesus!” It is definitely true that He will stick close to you than a brother. Amen! Now, go and be in the special presence of the Lord! What a wonderful way to start the month of September! Be friendly! Be close to “Him,” THE FRIEND! Be blessed!
“…and there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24 b MEV)
