IF YOU MISSED SEEING THE WHITE SMOKE…

Good morning! This is your Monday Short meditation. FYI: Monday meditations are short so that you can focus on the message you heard yesterday at worship service.

Now, with that being clarified, get excited! I have some good news to share with you. Listen! If you were not included in the great number of people, the crowd numbering in the thousands who stood outside the Sistine Chapel in Rome, or if you were not included in the number of people who tuned in to the national or local news to see the selection of a new Pope, evident by the white smoke coming out of the chimney of the Saint Peter’s Basilica, don’t fret, don’t feel frustration, and don’t find yourself thinking about what you missed seeing! Look forward to what you will see! Let me explain.

You see, there is a greater happening that you will not miss! That happening is the return of Jesus Christ. Praise God! You will not miss that happening! That’s a fact, but I still have three questions for you: Don’t you know that your anticipation, looking for the Head of The Church’s return (Jesus’ return) should be greater than the anticipation of those who waited for the sign that the Cardinals had made their selection for a new leader of the Catholic Church? Even more importantly, will you be ready when He comes? Last question: Will people see you as one who is faithful to their belief while waiting for His return?

I hope your answer to those three questions is a loud and resounding, “Yes!” Have a good week! Tell somebody else to answer the same three questions. Be blessed!

“Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So, it is to be. Amen.” (Revelation 1:7 NASB)

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
