“But I will sing about your strength; every morning I will sing aloud of your constant love.
You have been a refuge for me, a shelter in my time of trouble.” (Psalm 59:16 Good News Translation)
When I read the verse above, I was just going to focus on reminding you to sing to the Lord in the sanctuary in the morning, Sunday. But you don’t need a reminder, right? So, instead of a reminder, let me give you a recommendation.
Sing to the Lord every morning. You can sing once you open your eyes and see that you have been blessed with another day! You can sing as you slip on your slippers or as you go barefooted to the shower! You probably already sing in the shower, but now, change your singing to focus on singing to the Lord! If you are not awake enough until you shower, you can sing while dressing! You can sing before you even have that first cup of coffee!
Sing to the Lord every morning for how He proved to you yesterday and through the night that His love for you is ongoing, never-ending, and as some say, everlasting! Sing to the Lord every morning because as you look back over your life, you know, like the Psalmist, God has been your refuge. As a matter of fact, He has been your refuge and strength as you went through some difficult times. He has protected you in more than one way in your times of trouble. Therefore, sing in the morning in the assembly of the saints. But let that just set the tone for singing to the Lord everyday in the week ahead. I guarantee when you look back and sing about what God has done for you, you will go forward knowing that He is with you, will help you, will sustain you, and will deliver you!
Have a super Saturday, and the saints will see you, in the morning. Be blessed!
“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.” (Psalm 96:1-2 New International Version)
