INFALLIBLE

The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together.  The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road.  The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy.  The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes.  God’s reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee.  The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree.” (Psalm 17:7-9 The Message Bible)

By definition, the word infallible means incapable of making mistakes, never failing, always effective, not liable to mislead, deceive, or disappoint.  While this word, infallible, does not fit most human beings to the full extent of the definition described, Jesus does!  Afterall, Jesus is the logos, the living word, and He embodies all that is contained in the infallible word of God.  He is God’s revelation, given to man out of love, to save us from the penalty, power, and presence of sin.

Therefore, we need to depend on Jesus.  We need to find completion in Christ.  We need His help to avoid making costly mistakes, to circumvent experiencing failings as much as we do, to make us effective witnesses as members of a holy nation and a royal priesthood, to be free from misleading others by our words or actions, to refuse to opt to use deception for our own gain, to avoid disappointing others, and most importantly to avoid disappointing the Lord who has great expectations for us.

Let’s start the day depending on the infallible Christ, even more than yesterday!  Have a great Thursday my friend!  Be blessed!

“We are not afraid to say it: when we hear the Son of God quote the Scriptures, everything is said, in our view, on their divine inspiration—we need no further testimony.  All the declarations of the Bible are, no doubt, equally divine; but this example of the Savior of the world has settled the question for us at once.  This proof requires neither long nor learned researches; it is grasped by the hand of a child as powerfully as by that of a doctor.  Should any doubt, then, assail your soul let it behold Him in the presence of the Scriptures!” (Quote by Lous Glaussen)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
