“Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an Egyptian officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the bodyguard, bought him from the Ishmaelites, who had taken him down there. And the Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. Now his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did prosper in his hand.” (Genesis 39:1-3 NASB)
My friend, it does not matter where you are right now in your life. No, it does not matter where you are. What matters is who is with you?
The passage you just read provides you with biblical evidence of this truth. Joseph went through a lot and was in various places, not by choice, but God was with him. On the other side of the coin, Joseph was also with God, as evident by His faith.
The lesson today is simple. You be with God, as evident by your faith, your active faith, and Father God will be with you. Even if you have to go through things that God means for good in the final analysis, you be with God. And that my friend will assure that you are in the presence of perfect, powerful, protective, promise-keeping, providing company.
Today, this Saturday, walk with God, talk with God wherever you go. Tomorrow, be in the special presence of God in the assembly of the saints. Be blessed!
“So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him make himself scarce. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” (James 4:7-10 The Message Bible)
