IT’S NOT AN AGE THANG!

“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” (I Timothy 4:12 NLT)

The words you are about to read were penned by another writer in our congregation, Sis. Val. I’m sharing them with you with her permission. Here is what she wrote as part of a “Good Morning Monday” meditation.

“It’s not your age. It’s your alignment, your alignment with God. Your alignment can be seen by the way you conversate, how you carry yourself, how you care for others, and how your character shows up, allowing you to be an example for others; an example that Christ has come to you, and you have come to Him!”

Val was working those “C” words in a meaningful way, wasn’t she? Look, I know that it is not Monday and I’m sending you this a couple days after I received it but know that wise words can withstand the test of time. I believe Val’s words pass the test. Yet take note! There are some other words that withstand the test of time. This is definitely true when it comes to the word of God. Isaiah 40:8 tells us, “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever” (King James Version)

Being in agreement with the inspired word of God penned by Isaiah, take a look at the opening and closing verses again. They will speak to the “age thang!” Then, recognizing that to see is to remember, look at Val’s words one more time. Have a wonderful Wednesday! Be blessed!

“But the godly shall flourish like palm trees and grow tall as the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted into the Lord’s own garden and are under his personal care. Even in old age they will still produce fruit and be vital and green.” (Psalm 92:12-14 The Living Bible)

Committed to the climb,
