“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah), Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy), to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly].” (Luke 4:18-19 Amplified Bible)
When you need fixing, turn to Jesus. I have read when it comes to fixing things, that’s what He does. If He were to say it, He would put it this way, perhaps in Aramaic, but I’ll say it in English, “That’s what I do!”
Just reading through The Gospel According to Luke, I learned that the day of the week does not make a difference, for He restored the man with a withered hand on a Saturday. If you need anything restored in your life on any day, be it joy, a relationship, a return to living a righteous lifestyle, Jesus will fix it. Hear Jesus again, “That’s what I do!”
Still going through Luke, I learned that He ministered to the sick, changed situations where death had visited one’s family far too early, forgave sins and sent the forgiven away with faith and peace, caused the storms to cease, put people in their right minds, willingly cured a person who had tried everything else but Him, helped a father bring life to a son who needed to be raised to a better state, miraculously too small means and brought about great results…stretching a boys lunch into a meal to feed the multitudes, and He showed that He can even adjust our attitudes about people who are not like us. Talk about diversity and inclusion! Read Luke for yourself, and see if you do not come up with the same conclusion! Check it out and see if you do not learn of Jesus fixing what seems to be unfixable, and hear His voice saying, “That’s what I do!”
Can anyone save sinners from spending an eternity in heaven? Yes, the same Person. Hear Jesus again, “That’s what I do!” Need to cross-check me? See the closing verse below.
Now, do me a favor, please. Don’t just be uplifted to know that Jesus will fix you and/or fix your situation. No! Rather, share this meditation with others who need a real fixer! And also, if you do not mind, encourage them to refer to the website below so that they can go back and find a word, written over the past five-plus years, that will fit their present situation, minister to their present need for a fixing. The Lord put it on my heart to add the latter request this morning for the sake of others. It was as He was saying, “When it comes to fixing, ‘That’s what I do!’” Have a great Thursday! Be blessed!
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 The Amplified Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
