“Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].” (Hebrews 11:1 The Amplified Bible)
As a young adult, where I could be seen stopping by the nightclub scenes to socialize on several Friday evenings, or when dining at a required gathering of highly business associates at a fine restaurants where cocktail servings came before the food servings, I often heard the words, “Keep them coming!” I was just very, very, very transparent, but please know that it has been decades since I have drunk strong drink or even wine. You see, I eventually learned that Proverbs 20:1 was no joke, “Wine is a mocker, intoxicating drink a brawler, and whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.” Enough about my past. I just wanted to draw your attention to the title, “Keep Them Coming.”
Last Monday, I invited readers to add some more “un” statements regarding their personal confidence in God. Previously I reported how a couple of readers responded to my real invitation to add some more “un” statements about their confidence, or shall we say faith and trust in God. Well, I received another “un” addendum the other day. Since we all benefit from being reminded to walk by faith, to continue to trust in the Lord, and to persist in our confidence in Him, all I can say about the “un” responses is “Keep them coming.” Their value is unmeasurable.
The list of “un” words regarding the type of faith, trust, and confidence in God that we should all possess has just been updated, inasmuch as the First Lady of our church, as they say, “put in her two cents.” Actually, “two cents” is a description that is far under the value of her additions to our list. I’ll list them all, italicizing her submitted, additional “un” words. Are you ready? Here we go!
Unmoving
Unfastened
Untouched
Unshaken
Untested
Unbroken
Undying
Unfaltering
Untouched
Unmatched
Unleashed
Unstoppable
Unwavering
Understood
Take a look at each of these “un” words and evaluate to what degree they reflect your faith, trust, and confidence in the Lord. If you got more, all I can say is, “Keep them coming!” Have a great worship experience this morning in the assembly of the saints! Be blessed!
