KEEPING A “YES, I CAN” ATTITUDE!”

‘”I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13 NASB)

The purpose of this morning’s meditation is to encourage seniors and younger adults who will one day, Lord willing, reach their senior years. The closing verses are from the scriptures focused on this past Sunday as my older brother, Dr. H.C. King, preached the morning service.

Here are some words of encouragement. You don’t need to let your age keep you from being advantageous in serving the Lord. He is still the strength of your life! Keep that, “Yes, I can attitude!”  Also, know that the passing of time can take away from that promised time that you describe in reference to serving the Lord; “I’m on the battlefield, fighting for the Lord. And I promised Him that I will serve Him until I die.” Keep that, “Yes, I can attitude!”

Yes, a younger generation has come on the scene, but you still have the blessings of the Lord on you, and you are here for a purpose. The capacity in which you serve may or may not be different, highly visible or behind the scenes invisible, but in either of those cases, don’t stop serving. Keep that, “Yes, I can attitude!”

Years will bring about changes in your physical condition, but make up your mind to press on, knowing that in your particular case, it will not change your preferred condition to serve the Lord our God. Keep that, “Yes, I can attitude!”

You can continue to confidently serve the Lord through all the days of your life. You can even be a testimony to your faith and a witness when your days on earth are nearing an end. Be encouraged, my friend. Keep that, “Yes, I can attitude!”

Have a wonderful day! Serve the Lord with gladness, wherever you may be. Be blessed!

“And now behold, the Lord has let me live, just as He spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that the Lord spoke this word to Moses, when Israel walked in the wilderness; and now behold, I am eighty-five years old today. I am still as strong today as I was on the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so my strength is now, for war and for going out and coming in.” (Joshua 14:10-11)

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
