“KEEPING YOUT HEAD ABOVE WATER”

“As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.”  So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed).  But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.  Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion.  The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”  When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!”  Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.  Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”  The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”  (Mark 4:35-41 NLT)

Let me help you start your day with an early morning cup of God-consciousness.  It will make your day better.  Read the passage above and then focus on the following:

  1. Evening times are set up for times that “The Light” can come shining through. (Note: Evening times, figuratively speaking, happen at any hour of a day where bad news of any sort meets you.)
  2. Ensure that Jesus, “The Light,” is with you in your “evening times.”  As a matter of fact, if you are in an evening time right now, go ahead and praise Him in advance for  how He will bring you through to a place of serenity, safe, and secure.
  3. Evade the tendency to panic.  Do what you can do, and then let the Lord do the rest!  Somewhere I heard that Jesus specializes.  So, I know He specializes in doing the rest.
  4. Engage Jesus when your head is just above water, and you don’t think you can make it.  Be encouraged!  Rise above whatever it is that is trying to pull you down today!  The Lord has got you!

Have a great Wednesday my friend!  Know that the Lord will see you through!  With Him there is no sinking, only saving!

Remember that you are being mentioned in the verse that says, “All things work together for good for them who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose!  Be blessed!

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV)

Still committed to the climb,
