“But friends, that’s exactly who we are: children of God. And that’s only the beginning. Who knows how we’ll end up! What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we’ll see him—and in seeing him, become like him. All of us who look forward to his Coming stay ready, with the glistening purity of Jesus’ life as a model for our own.” (I John 3:2 The Message Bible)
While we have to wait for the “Not Yet” moment where we shall be like Jesus, at the present time we can live as children of God. Yes, we must live in the “Right Now” moment! Live like a Christian ought – right now. Practice the principles, precepts, prescriptions for living given by our Savior, Jesus the Christ – right now! Whatever is tugging at you, trying to pull you down, rise up in hope, looking to the One who is a very present help in times of trouble – right now!
This busy life will load your schedule with a number of things to do but prioritize developing as one of God’s children – right now! Love one another – right now! Forgive one another – right now! Reconcile with those you are at odds with – right now! If need be, get reunited with the church – right now! If darkness has descended on your days, let the light from the lighthouse shine on you – right now! I could go on but let me just summarize how you can live in the “Right Now” moment in the words of the composer, Thomas O. Chisholm, found in his work entitled Living for Jesus (1917). Read them below! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Be blessed!
Living for Jesus, a life that is true, striving to please Him in all that I do; this is the pathway of blessing for me.
Living for Jesus, wherever I am, doing each duty in His holy Name; willing to suffer affliction and loss, deeming each trial a part of my cross.
Committed to the climb,
