“Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.” (Psalm 50:15 NASB)
It’s Monday morning, and of course, you get your “Monday Short” meditation. Let me borrow from the hymn written by William A. Ogden in 1887, borrow some of his words that still contain sound advice, “I’ve a message from the Lord, hallelujah! The message unto you I’ll give. Tis recorded in His word, hallelujah! It is only that you look and live!”
The message: Whatever you have to face this week, make the call! Troubles, trials, test, temptation, living in a toss and turvy world? Look to the Lord and make the call!
In all your “now” moments, even “right now,” look to Jesus now and live. If you need to live in the sense of gaining eternal life – make the call of faith by look to Jesus now, and live! If you need to live in the sense of gaining a position on higher ground, on Christ the solid rock – make the call as your faith surely moves you! Look to Jesus now and live! If you need to live such that you recognize the abundant life that Jesus came that you might have – make the call! Look to Jesus now and live!
Before you head out the door, make the call! Recognize in your day of trouble that He will rescue you! Somebody say, “Won’t He do it!” Somebody else say, “I know that’s right!” So honor Him as you go about your week. Look, recent history has taught us there are consequences when we delay in making the call! Learn from the past, and – make the call! Be blessed!
“God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (I Corinthians 1:9 New King James Version)
Still committed to the climb,
