“To God be the glory!”
This is my universal Christmas card that I am sending to all the Mark Writes readers! I’m not being cheap. I do not have postal service cutoff times for mailing card in mind. I am not curtailing the work of doing what God has called me to do via these meditations. Actually, it is just the opposite. I am complying with my calling to spread the good news concerning Jesus Christ and to capture your minds to focus on the message of Christmas. This is a universal card, and it will be received by people in many places. Unlike most cards, there are no pictures and no pretty drawings, just a presentation of the truth, the profound truth, the profitable inspired truth, pure truth, taken from the perfect word of God.
“Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.’
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!’” (Luke 2:8-14 New King James Version)
Merry Christmas my friend! Praise God for our Savior! Praise Him as you read this “card” and praise Him in the church house, yes, in the sanctuary tomorrow! To God be the glory! Share this “card” with others! Be blessed!
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.” (John 3:16-18 The Message Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
Mark L. King
