NO FOOLING!

“Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward!  You need to keep on patiently doing God’s will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised.” (Hebrews 10:35-36 The Living Bible)

If there is something that is affecting your self-confidence, especially when it comes to continuing to walk in the light in any area of your life, let me tell you, “Cast that lack of self-confidence aside!”  You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!  If your quest to be ye perfect, in other words, your pursuit to make perfect progress, seems to be plummeting, rise back up and soar to new height I’m telling you, “You have the capability to move up a little bit higher today!”  It may be the so called, “April’s Fool Day,” but listen!  I’m not fooling!  As a side note, no bur surely true, “God is good!”  Finish the saying by filling in the blank, “And ____ ____ ____, God is good!”  No fooling!

You used to join the congregation, letting words of commitment pour out of your lips, a phrase that pounding the ear of all in the sanctuary, presented musically in a strong voice, “I will trust in the Lord…until I die.”  Don’t let that trust fade away!  No!  No!  No!  Let your personal trust factor rise up so you can repel anything that tries to get you off track today!  You can do it!  Be confident!  Rise up and Keep running the race, looking forward to your reward; your reward here for faithfulness, and your reward in heaven forever.  No fooling!

Push doubt aside when you face your challenges to continue following the will of God!  Prevail against the will of the world, the will of the flesh, and then punch Satan out to render the will of our persistent pest, our adversary, the devil, ineffective.  Do some pushing!  Do some prevailing!  Do some punching, spiritually speaking!  Keep doing God’s will.  He will see you through!  No fooling!  Trust Him!  And trust what I am saying, “Be confident!  You can do it!” No fooling!

It is easy to give up, but with the help of our powerful God, we can ascend to higher heights as we press on toward the mark!  Sustain your climb climbing today!  Overcome every rough spot on the climb, with the help of God.  Dodge every unforeseen obstacle that tries to make you fail as you strive toward your goal!  Sidestep over any slippery slope!  You can do some dome sustaining, do some overcoming, do some dodging, do some sidestepping, yes, you can, with the help of God!  You can recognize that any spiritual plateau is not the resting place!  Thus you will not be lulled or stalled at an unfinished spot, thinking your climb is over!  Use your faith acuity, and thus you will not fall!  Maintain your trust and trample over the things which you thought would surely trap you and pull you astray again.  Not this time!  As one our founding members at my church use to say, “Not this time buddy!”  No more!  Why not?  Because you have the confidence that nothing is impossible with God, and He has dubbed you, described you, deemed you different than many in His divine word, referring to you as “more than a conqueror.”  Let you your discernment guard you from the deceit of the devil!  You can do it!  I have that type of confidence in you!  I’m not just saying this to be saying this!  No fooling, you can do it!  No fooling!  Go on now and have a victorious day!  The Lord has some good things to give to you, blessings, more than the eye can see.  Again I say, “No fooling!”  Smile and let your confidence shine through your expressions and your engagements with others so that everyone will take notice!  Let nothing that comes against you steal your joy, or take away your determination, or rob you of your commitment to live righteously!  Have a great Friday!  Stay committed to the climb!  Remain God-conscious!  I don’t know about you, but I feel better already!  Don’t fool me now!  No fooling!  Be blessed!

“Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident.” (Psalm 27: 3 Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
