Perhaps you were going through your own troubles, too consumed with your personal problems to show kindness to someone who deserved it. But now, since your troubles have been triumphed and your problems put to bed, with the help of our gracious and merciful God, now you have a chance, an opportunity to help a fellow believer. Oh, your “help” might be tangible or intangible, possible only a small encouraging gift or an encouraging word. But keep in mind, now you have a chance.
There is a possibility that you were jobless and without the financial means to help a person of faith, but now you have a good job, and the door or opportunity to show kindness to others is so very wide open. Now you have a chance.
It is possible that all things were going well, no difficulties in life were disturbing your peace, but you had not realized, never gave it a thought to how you could show appreciation for those who have guided you along the way. You would be surprised how much a little inspirational card can lift up one of your fellow saints when they receive it. You had never thought about it until you read this paragraph. But since you have read these words, understand, now you have a chance.
