ONE MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

One makes a difference! Let me give some examples before giving you, one called by God, a challenge for a minimum of this day, and at a maximum, a clearly challenge throughout your days, living as a child of God.

Examples: (1) I went to the dental school for some work to be performed by a student who graduates at the end the first week in December. She only needed to perform one specific type of patient treatment to satisfy her graduation requirements. I was the one patient who needed the procedure she had to perform to be done with her Doctor of Dentist studies. She thought she could get it done in one day, but she needed one more day because we ran out of time. So, I remain the one who makes a big difference during the beginning of her last week in school. She will make it! Why? One makes a difference! (2) The score is tied and with less than 20 seconds remaining on the clock, the home team needs one score, either a field goal or touchdown to win the game. They select to go for the touchdown, faking a field goal and throwing a completed pass to the school’s top receiver. One makes a difference. (3) An impatient husband is waiting for his wife to finish getting her nails done. The mail salon operator has her sitting under that contraption that dries your nails in a specified number of minutes. The impatient husband, sitting in the waiting area reading all the magazines for women, since that was all that was available, looks at his watch and says to his wife, “We need to get going.” One more minute was really needed to meet the specified number of minutes for drying. But the impatient husband was insistent. The wife complies. As soon as she gets in the car and starts to fasten her seatbelt, one of the nails is scraped by the seatbelt. Guess who is to blame? Well, one does not always make a positive difference, but it is still true; one makes a difference.

How about some biblical examples. Well, to name a few, you can just look at Noah, Abraham, Esther, David, Elijah, Shamgar, the Good Samaritan, the boy with five loaves of bread and couple of fish whose small amount of food was enough to feed the 5,000 plus with the Master’s miraculous help. One makes a difference. You can look or the man who Jesus showed his prerogative over demons and was put in his right mind. That latter man ended up going to all the cities of the Decapolis and telling folks about Jesus. Do I need to tell you again? Okay, I will! One makes a difference.

Do you still need more examples? If you do, read the verses below. After you are done reading, accept the challenge hinted to in the first paragraph above:  As one called by God, at a minimum today, and at a maximum throughout your days on this earth, you be the one who makes a difference in the lives of one or many. Remember: One makes a difference. Be blessed!

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all mankind, because all sinned—for [until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not counted against anyone when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the violation committed by Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many.” (Romans 5:12-15 NASB)
