OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND?

“And He sat down opposite the [temple] treasury, and began watching…” (Mark 12:41 Amplified Bible)

You already know what I’m going to say, don’t you? Well, I’ll be succinct, seeing how I did not publish the anticipated Monday Short meditation this week, and due to the fact that Tuesday’s meditation did not serve as a succinct substitute in its place. Now, don’t just cruise through this short message, but change thoroughly, if necessary, to live a God-conscious life. By the way, such a life is a God-pleasing life.

Friend, can we hide what we do from our Heavenly Father, similarly to how as teenagers we, at times, failed to acknowledge our earthly parent’s instructions on how we should behave, and we were able to hide our doings from them when they were not around? Let me ask you the same question, another way. Can we act based on our personal preferences and not the Lord’s principles, adhering to that preferred teenage tenet, “out of sight, out of mind?” Read the opening words from Mark’s Gospel again and look at the closing verse below before you answer the questions I just posed. Next, if you want to do some hiding, hide His word in your heart so that you will not be deceived to think that the teenage tenet above is to ever be embraced. Have a great day! Be blessed!

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3 English Standard Version)

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
