How many communications have you received, that were trying to persuade you to change insurance companies, insisting that they could lower your rates? I know that have received my share of solicitations by phone calls, emails, and advertisements on television or the Internet about a better insurance plan. I usually don’t entertain changing from the company I have had for the last 25 years. Bundling offers do not entice me for it is not a new thing for me when it comes to insurance. Admittedly however, I have become intrigued by the commercials that offer additional life insurance at just under ten dollars, and when I say, “just under,” I mean $9.99, supposedly, with no varying cost because of age, physical condition, etc.
Nevertheless, I am more interested in assurance these days. I have a great assurance policy and I don’t have any payment and there is no deductible. Christ paid my assurance premium once and for all. He did it long ago on a hill called Golgotha, on an old rugged cross. Since I am saved by grace through faith, I am assured of spending my eternity in heaven with the Lord. I don’t have to pay for it! I don’t have to work for it! Somebody is thinking I am trying to secure my way in heaven by making payments in the form of serving the Lord and living like one of His disciples and loving the brothers and the sisters. Let me correct such thinking by telling you that I have no payment and no deductible required. Anyway, how could one pay for such a great thing that the Lord did freely for us by sacrificing His life on Calvary?
Listen! We tell people about the cost of our insurance coverages, so why not be active in personal evangelism and tell people about the plan with no payment and no deductible. We know some folks that don’t have the believer’s assurance plan, a plan that they can easily get the by faith, attain if they confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead.
While we are not insurance agents, by virtue of the Great Commission we are required to obediently be assurance agents and ambassadors. Therefore, today, I want you to put on your good neighbor hat and your good hands conviction, and with your Great Commission job description in mind, please tell somebody about your assurance plan.
I know you are busy, so let me make it easy for you to engage in some assurance work today, regardless of your busy schedule. Send this meditation to ten people and ask them to forward it to ten other people they know who need the blessed assurance plan you have. Let evangelism take place on this day like falling dominos or like the continuous flowing of water from a great waterfall. There are people facing death, who need the plan! Get into personal evangelism today and forward this meditation! Don’t keep it to yourself! Be blessed!
