“With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people.” (Ephesians 6:18 The Amplified Bible)
It’s Sunday morning, again! There will be people who see this day as THE day to go to God in prayer, and more importantly, go to Him in prayer, primarily to petition Him to intervene in what is interfering with their joyful existence. To some, prayer is reserved for the mid-week prayer meeting, and they will actually pray. To some, the “mainline” to the gracious throne of God is mainly just used when trouble is in their way, test are hard, and trials are even harder. Wait! There is more! There are people who think the dependence on prayer depends on your age. We know that’s not true, right?
Well, I’ll let you get on your way to worship with a new or renewed mindset regarding prayer, an attitude that will remind you that prayer works! Remember this my friend! Prayer time, the time to pray, it is not restricted to Sunday mornings or any other designated time or season of the year or the season of your life.! Pray always! As you can see from the testimony of the Psalmist below, prayer works.
Have a wonderful worship service in the special presence of the Lord! Pray, present yourself as a vessel ready to be filled by God-s specific message this morning, and give Him the praise. In regard to the latter, I will just say, “Don’t stop the noise” because you cannot praise Him enough. Love you! Be blessed!
“I love God because he listened to me, listened as I begged for mercy. He listened so intently as I laid out my case before him. Death stared me in the face, hell was hard on my heels. Up against it, I didn’t know which way to turn; then I called out to God for help: “Please, God!” I cried out. “Save my life!” God is gracious—it is he who makes things right, our most compassionate God. God takes the side of the helpless; when I was at the end of my rope, he saved me.” (Psalm 116:2 The Message Bible)
