“Pray along these lines: ‘Our Father in heaven, we honor your holy name.” (Matthew 6:9 Th Living Bible)
The list of way in which human beings communicated with each other has advance from pre-historic days to the present days. Paintings on walls, smoke signal, petroglyphs, the advent of the written language, smoke signals, drumbeats, and the telegraph are evolutionary methods of communication. In my lifetime, I have seen the use of private phones, party line phones, and those phone booths that use to be on every other corner and seemed to always be occupied when you needed them most were forms of communication in my younger days. People wrote letters and sent postcards; the latter being perhaps cheaper, but less private. My, my! Haven’t things changes?
Today you don’t even have to use faxes to communicate over long distances. The option of communication across distances ranges from emails to texts, from instant messaging to a variety of other options through social media. My, my! There is Facetime and even the option of finding what’s happening in other countries via WhatsApp. Artificial intelligence and virtual reality now offer immersive and interactive communication.
But do you want to know something? I’m imagining that you said, “Yes,” so I will tell you. When it comes to the quintessential and quote effective form of communication for you the believer, especially over a long-distance, the epitomized form of communication has not changed. It has remained unchanged throughout the ages. It does not require hefty payments, just hearts pouring out from a foundation of faith. It can be private, public, shouted out or silently conveyed by the speaker to the Hearer on high. You don’t have to miss a mortgage payment to use it, it is a privilege granted to believers. Yes, you know by now that you can graciously and boldly approach the throne of grace using the same techniques of the patriarchs, the prominent characters found in the word of God, the prophets and other perpetuators of the form of quintessential communication can be discovered in the Bible. Evolution of communication does not apply to this quintessential communication. Persons around the world are still using the same form of communication, let’s say it better, the same form of effective communication today. Whether on welfare or fairly rich, it does not matter, the methodology of communication is the same. It is the ideal communication form, that is for the believers and actually it provides an intimate way to talk to the Creator of the world.
The instruction manual, the word of God tells us to pray always. An excerpt from the instruction manual is provided for you in the verse below. Before you read it, know that this quintessential communication I am telling you about, we should use it freely, regularly, daily, including today. Read the verse below and be inspired to pray. Have a great day looking to the hills from whence comes our help. Our help comes from the Lord. Go to God in prayer. If you are going through something, do what the song says, “Put it all in His hands…this and that; this, this, this and that!” Be blessed!
“Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3 New American Standard Bible)
Committed to the climb,
Mark L. King
That is the word for the day–pray! It is rewarding and refreshing going before the throne of grace and fellowship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
You do a good job of it, openly and in secret! You know, prayer works. Be blessed!
