“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24-25 NASB)”
Yesterday, as you attended church service, either virtually or physically, you were exposed to audio-visual stimuli throughout the service. The choir was singing. The congregation was shouting. The preacher, animated in some form of the other, was preaching. You witnessed what was going on visually. You heard songs based on Scriptural truths. You heard the expressed word of God, a message sent by the Lord, as the preacher verbally spoke a word from the announced text. You experienced some invaluable audio stimuli and you immediately reacted quickly in your mind. Hopefully your reaction was reinforced by a type of touch stimuli, manifested when you went out initially from service and reacting quickly to the word. You may have even gone as far as to proclaim that the Lord had touched you and you would no longer be the same.
Here is a challenge to start your week. Don’t lose your reaction to the touch stimuli as the days of the week pass by. Don’t let extinction occur. Maintain your commitment to applying the specific message that God sent to you for a specific purpose yesterday. Keep your enthusiasm high! Stay engaged in doing! Show by your reaction that you have learned from heaven, something that will help you here on earth. Have a good start to your week! Be blessed!
“Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.” (James 1:22-24 The Message Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
