REMEMBER SMOKEY THE BEAR?

“And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. ´(James 3:6 NLT Version)

Since yesterday’s meditation did not deserve the distinction of being called a Monday Short, let me be brief this Tuesday morning. If you ever watch the television station that shows old TV series such as Perry Mason and Emergency, you will see various Smokey The Bear commercials, aimed in at preventing forest fires. Remember Smokey the Bear? Well, this morning, bear with me as I provide you with some verses from the word of God, the one above and the ones below, in hope that they will be profitable, preventing your relationships from going ablaze, for a moment of for a lingering period of time.

Read them both and hide what you received in your heart. Have a great day! Be blessed!

“People who shrug off deliberate deceptions, saying, “I didn’t mean it, I was only joking,” are worse than careless campers who walk away from smoldering campfires.” (Proverbs 16:18-19 The Message Bible)

Committed to the climb,

  1. This was a good short. Reminding us how the untamed tongue can cause so much damage through a vivid view of fiery destruction.

    1. It paid to watch all those Smokey commercials doing Perry Mason! Smile! But it did tie into a very good reminder from the word of God. Remember, only you can prevent fires. Smile again!
