“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with jubilation; come before Him with rejoicing. Know that the Lord]Himself is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” (Psalm 100:1-3 NASB)
There is not typing error in the title. I intentionally wanted to focus on the letter “R “in the word Saturday, causing you to recognize the benefits of attending worship service tomorrow, Sunday. Reflect on the sample of “R” blessings listed below; blessings that you will receive tomorrow when, putting all excuses aside, when, not if, you enter the house of the Lord to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Not an exhaustive list, but enough for you to focus on today. The blessings:
- Rest from your labors.
- Rest in the Lord.
- Relax with the assurance that things are going to work out alright.
- Rejoice in the Lord, something we should always do, but especially on His day1
- Reach into heaven in one unified voice of praise in the sanctuary with other believers who know God is worthy to be praised!
- Recall all He brought you through, all the “this” and all the “that” in the week that is just ending!
- Reset your uttered commitment to unconditionally serve Him until you die!
- Refuel at what has been called the spiritual filling station!
- Relish in the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, unique and special, designed the way you are for a purpose.
- Revive the flames of faith; setting your soul on fire once again.
- Reinstitute your plan to focus on your unique recovery!
- Represent the thankful citizens of heaven, which includes you!
- Reaffirm your dependence on the leadership of the Lord by thinking, “Lead me O Lord, Lead me!”
- Receive a special, sent message, specifically for you at a specific time, for a specific purpose!
- Reconnect with the saints; people of like mind and like purpose!
- Reconstruct immediately any areas that are highlighted, brought to your attention by the Holy Spirit who will let you know some rebuilding is necessary in some aspect of your life.
- Repent earnestly, while you are sitting in the pews waiting for service to start. (I know you will be early because on time is really late.)
- Remember all that Christ did for you to reconcile your relationship with God; made it possible for you to have peace with God and eternal life.
- Receive a final blessing given as part of the order of service, bestowed on the church, as part of the benediction!
- Re-enter the world when you leave worship, better than you came in and remain dedicated to being the salt of the earth and the light of the world!
On this SaturRday, look forward to tomorrow! Prepare now to enter the Lord’s house! Be blessed!
“Enter His gates with ]thanksgiving, and His courtyards with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His faithfulness is to all generations.” (Psalm 100: 4-5 NASB)
Still committed to the climb,
