“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1 NASB)
Most days when we open our computers are eyes meet a picture of some of the man-made wonders found on God’s creation. There are pictures of the ruins of ancient structures around the world, and considering when they were constructed, it causes one to wonder about the technology or ingenuity used to build such structures. Whether it be the pyramids in Egypt, the structures built on Machu Picchu by the ancients Incas, the temples built by the ancient Mayans, or edifices like the ancients built in Africa, long before Greece or Rome came into existence. The pictures of these structures make one wonder and sit still, filled with amazement. There had to be some great minds behind the construction of such noteworthy and long-lasting structures. Research cannot clearly or completely answer all the questions regarding how they came into existence. So, we wonder.
However, when you consider the construction of the heavens and the earth, we don’t have to wonder. The answer is presented to us as soon as we open our Bible. No extensive research or historical teams are necessary, we just start reading and it is right there in the opening verse in Genesis, the first book of our Bibles: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” This serves to anchor our faith in our God who is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. The intricacies of the creation, down to the smallest part of creation and up to the stars in the heavens should give us confidence in the fact that nothing is to hard for our God, especially our problems, predicaments, and peculiar challenges. Our God, the Creator of all things, is on our side and He can handle all the things we will face in this life, and He has another place prepared, designed in great detail, waiting for believers when our lives on earth are over. There are just some things we don’t have to wonder about, be it creation or certain victories in this life and deal with every created thing that comes against us, because the Lord is with us! The Creator is our very present help in times of trouble. Don’t start wondering – when the Lord makes a way out of no way! He majors in that area! Don’t start wondering – if you can make it through what you are going through! The word of God lets us know that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, the Son of the Living God! Don’t start wondering – whether in the final analysis, we will be all right child of God, for we are assured that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord! Yet, if you don’t want to take my word and at this moment you desired to strengthen your faith in God our Creator, listen as you read God’s words spoken to Job. You will conclude, with no wondering and no doubt, “What a mighty God we serve.” Hint: You don’t have to wonder to answer the questions in the closing verses. The answer to each is either, “God can” or simply “God! Look to Him this Tuesday morning! Awaken and enjoy the harvest of being a God-conscious citizen of heaven throughout the day! Be blessed!
“Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you? Can you send lightning that they may go forth and say to you, ‘Here we are’? Who has put wisdom in the inward parts, or who has given understanding to the heart? Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can empty out the bottles of heaven, when the dust turns into hard clumps and the clods stick together?” (Job 38: 34-38 Modern English Version)
Still committed to the climb,
