SOMETIMES IN LIFE

“There can be no rainbow without a cloud and a storm.” – Dolly Parton

Sometimes in life, we all will have rainy days. No one is exempt from rainy days. I will have them and you will too. So, loving you like I do, let me supply you with a suggested retort to counter rainy days; a tool to put in your “own the battlefield tool kit.”

Whenever a rainy day comes, don’t focus on the seemingly, unending water that’s falling upon you like the floodgates of hopelessness, high-level problems, hurt, and heavy despair have been opened wide. Don’t let the waves of affliction, anxiety, aggravation, or even anger pull you down to a sunken level. I’m referring to those times when the pools of water produced by the rain that seems to be pouring persistently, pervasively, and it attempts to paralyze your being and your will to press on. Here is the suggested retort: Instead of focusing on the rain, look ahead to the rainbow. It’s coming! Let me say it again, “It’s coming!” Furthermore, you can even see if through the rain of you look for it through the lens of faith. When the rain ceases; when you come out of it, guess what? “Better” will be awaiting you. Therefore, on those rainy days that appear sometimes in life, look ahead and rejoice. Look for your rainbow. Be blessed!

“Oh, how great is your goodness to those who publicly declare that you will rescue them. For you have stored up great blessings for those who trust and reverence you.” (Psalm 31:19 The Living Bible)

Committed to the climb,
