WHAT IF JESUS PLAYED BASKETBALL

ByDr. Mark July 20, 2023 0 Comments
“He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will occupy the first place in everything.” (Colossians 1:18 The Amplified Bible) You have probably seen several “What If” books or compositions.  Well, this morning, let’s start the day with some “What If” fun.  Hopefully, you can tolerate my imagination for...

“BEST PLACES TO LIVE”

“If you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, and heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, God, your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of the world.  All these blessings will come down on you and spread out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of God, your God: God’s blessing inside the city, God’s blessing in the country;...

SETTING THE BREAD RECORD STRAIGHT

ByDr. Mark March 20, 2022 0 Comments
“Give us this day our daily bread.” (Matthew 6:11 KJV) I searched the Guinness World Records to see if I could find the owner of the bakery that holds the record for having the biggest selection of a variety of breads.  Granted I did not continue my search when I kept seeing records about the biggest loaf of bread, the longest loaf of bread, the most cupcakes cooked in a day, the bakery...

STAY WITH GOD!

ByDr. Mark November 23, 2021 0 Comments
“Stay with God!  Take heart.  Don’t quit.  I’ll say it again: Stay with God.” (Psalm 27:14 The Message Bible) Whether it is the unending line of cars that are backed-up toll both, the non-ending check-in line at the airport, or the endless checkout line at the local store that covers half the length of the store, I have to admit I am not good at waiting.  However, when I consider...

YOUR TWO OTHER BEST FRIENDS

ByDr. Mark July 15, 2021 0 Comments
“When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting! ”When Jesus saw that they were ready to force him to be their king, he slipped away into the hills by himself.” (John 6:14-15 NLT) Of course Jesus is a friend of yours and without argument, He is definitely your best friend. This morning I want to tell you about two other...
