THANK HIM!

“Praise the Lord!  Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy is everlasting.” (Psalm 106:1 NASB)

There have been many days that we called on the Lord and He not only heard our cry, not only answered by and by, but He intervened in our dilemmas, inserted His Divine self into our devastating circumstances, and ended our deviant behaviors that were leading is down the path of destruction.  And His love brought us back to where it was alright or let us see that daylight was just about to show up and end our nighttime of dismay. But many of those days, we neglected to say, “Thank you Lord!”  When our situations were saturated with sickness, sadness, and spiritual weakening, we called on the Lord, and He delivered us, defeated what opposed us, and dismissed our feelings of desperation.  Yet, some of those days, we neglected to say, “Thank you Lord!  When we were struggling and we shouted to heaven for strength, He sustained us from His supply of mercy and yes, He suddenly renewed our strength.  Oddly enough, it is obvious, on a few of those days, we overlooked, omitted the proper showing of gratitude by openly giving thanks to the Lord.

That’s how it was with those days, but that will not be the case today.  No, not today!  Stop right now, whatever you are doing and say, “Thank you Lord!”  Sum up a load of thanks giving, remembering the loads of good things that the Lord has done for you and say, “Thank you Lord!”  On your way to the sanctuary, thank Him!  As you sit in your pew, don’t wait for the preacher to pull some thanksgiving out of your mouths, go ahead and thank Him while you are waiting!  Thank Him doing the service!  Thank Him for all that He has done and shall do for you!  Thank Him for His Son who shed His blood for the forgiveness of your sins!  Thank Him that things are not as bad as they  could be, and then thank Him that even when the worst shows up, He has the best waiting for you!  Thank Him that nothing shall separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus!  Recognize the blessings that you have overlooked and say, “Thank you Lord,” on this Sunday morning.

There may have been some days that you overlooked thanks in the past, but guess what?  Not today!  Thank Him!  Thank Him Thank Him!  You cannot thank Him enough!  Can we take a praise break right here and say, “Praise the Lord!  Bless the Lord!  He’s worthy!  He deserves to be lifted up!  We thank you!  Yeah!  Yeah!  Yeah!”  Be blessed!

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1 NLT)

Still committed to the climb,
