“The Holy Spirit will give you the words to say at the moment when you need them.” (Luke 12:12 The Voice Translation)
Here is a question that I have been asked multiple times over the last five-plus years that I have been sending out meditations personally via email and publishing publicly on the Marks Writes Daily blog site: “How do you know what to say?”
Well, now in my sixth year, and I have not missed a day, I admit that at times, when I sit down to write, I ask myself the very same question. The answer really is very simple. If you pray, just sit , and wait, as opposed to sitting and worrying; if you just stay in contact with the Lord, as opposed to composing without Divine help, God will give you the words to say! God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, all members of the Godhead seem to take turns in guiding my thoughts and controlling my fingers as they type a short, at least “short” from my perspective, a short message to keep readers God-conscious and Christ-centered each and every day.
God is good! I’ll pause so you can say, “Amen!” God is good and I have not run out of subject matter yet. Learn from my answer to the question.
When you don’t know what you should say, don’t know how to deescalate a conversation that is heading toward a moment of considerable conflict, don’t know how you should speak to inspire others, or don’t know how to inject your faith in your day-to-day conversations, don’t know what text to teach or preach, look to the Lord, wait for His direction, and you will find that He will give you what to say, right on time. He has not failed me yet. It’s true. There is no failure in God.
Think about what you have just read and respond by going another step further and applying it! Have a great Friday! Share this meditation with others! Be blessed!
“Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (Exodus 4:10-12 NIV)
Still committed to the climb,
