THE BEST THINGS HAPPEN IN THE MORNING!

I won’t argue against the position that good things happen in the dark times of life, literally or figuratively. However, I will put forth the thought that the best things happen in the morning. The singing of the birds in the morning, the sun coming out of its overnight hiding in the morning, and the sureness of being blessed when we see a day we have never seen before happens in the morning. Yes, the best things happen in the morning.

In the morning, God provided the children of Israel with manna from on high. The king found out that Daniel had been protected and perfectly sustained in the lion’s den, and that happened, in the morning. The virtuous woman in Proverbs wakes up early in the morning, cooks food for her family. The best things happen in the morning.  Need I say more? Okay! I will!

We can find satisfaction like the Psalmist; satisfaction with God’s love, in the morning,  In the morning, Gideon’s army was reduced to three hundred men, so that they would know that it was the Lord and not by their own might that they would have victory over an enemy that was as numerous as the sand on the seashore, taking small means and bring about great results through faith. The ravens brought Elijah bread and meat, not only in the evening, but in the morning. Even after a nighttime of weeping, joy comes, yes it does, in the morning. The best things happen in the morning.

At the top of the list for “Best things Happen in the Morning,” is the fact that God raised Jesus from the dead early on a Sunday morning. Because He lives, because He got up that morning, we can declare, “Some glad morning, when this life is over, I’ll fly away. To a place on God’s celestial shores, I’ll fly away!” The best things happen in the morning.

Now, guess what I am going to say to you? Perhaps you guessed right but let me make sure. This morning, this Sunday morning, make sure to go and be in the special presence of the Lord at your local church. I guarantee that you will come out better than when you went in! How do I know that? I know that because “The best things happen in the morning!”  Go on now! Make your way to the assembly of the saints! Be blessed!

But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.” (Psalm 59:16 ESV
)

Committed to the climb,
