THE BIG LIAR

“…the devil…  He has always hated the truth because there is no truth in him.  When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.” – (John 8:44 NLT)

Monday morning I received two texts with totally opposite messages.  One text expressed pessimism pertaining to a personal challenge.  The other text conveyed certain optimism when it came to their personal challenge.

The difference between the two senders of the texts was obvious.  The former was sent by a person who lacked faith in God and consequently, lacked imbued confidence that they could overcome their challenge.  The former sender was led to worry and anxiousness by the big liar.  The latter sender was a person of faith, evident by the instilled content expressed in a text that revealed confidence.  It was evident that the truth, in the mind of the latter sender, took precedent over the big liar.

The former was pessimistic because of being unconsciously influenced by the opening verse, and the latter was optimistic, sure, certain, secure, based on the closing verse.

Listen!  Regardless of what you have to face today, regardless of the nature of your personal challenge, be like the second sender, the latter sender.  Sounds like a perfect plan to me!  So, let’s execute the plan!  Have a great Tuesday!  Be blessed!

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13 KJV)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
