“Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12 The Amplified Bible)
First, know that this has nothing to do with Cleveland, Miami, or any other basketball team.
Now, with that disclaimer out of the way, let me continue. When you have a decision to make, small or big, I suggest that you consult with the Lord. Toward the end of 2024, I was considering whether or not to continue Mark Writes. Afterall, I had not missed a day in eight years in writing meditations at that point in time.
So, I prayed about it, and I was directed to do it one more year. Obediently, I am committed to doing so. There is no doubt that I must continue until I cannot do it any longer during the remaining months of this year.
However, after praying some more, I sought input from the Lord again. I had a decision to make. I had to decide how to help others without the same demands of sending the meditations out by personal emails to 400 people, individuals across the globe and also posting it on markwritesdaily.com every day. By the way, you should know that I my practice has been to type in each person’s name every day on the blind copy line, one by one. Yes, I know, there is a way to have a setup mailing list. But I chose to do them as described.
Well, the Lord, answered my persistent prayer and He insisted that I continue to write with the goal of helping someone stay committed to the climb, being God-conscious and Christ-centered daily. However, He did permit me to make one change. Keep reading, my friend.
Effective March 22, the meditations will be posted on markwritesdaily.com only. Please continue to read them, and feel free to respond to them via the website. Thank you for your understanding, encouragement, and for your following over the years. Keep climbing! I’ll keep writing as long as the Lord is willing. Be blessed!
“Share your plans with the Lord, and you will succeed.” (Proverbs 16:3 Contemporary English Version)
Committed to the climb,
Mark L. King
