“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 NASB)
How do believers grow their local churches? The Great Commission captured in the verses above are the key. This is a Monday Short, so I will just provide you with a list that can serve as an Operation Manual for those who want a growing church.
The list: (1) It takes some going! (2) It takes some making! (3) It takes some baptizing new disciples! (4) It takes some teaching with a focus on retention! Well, if you think that was good and short, let me express it with fewer words, only three words: “Recruit and Retain.” Do you need it in an even shorter format? Ok! Try these: “Evangelize and Equip.” Don’t just think about these things my friends but do these things. Follow “the list” and your local church will grow. More importantly, the kingdom of God will be expanded, and folks will be saved. Say, “I agree!’ Say, “Hallelujah!” Now that you have done some saying, do some doing. What started with Jesus’ commission, will continue through you. Have a magnificent Monday. And remember Jesus is speaking specifically to YOU in the closing verse you are about to read. Be blessed!
“But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me]…” (Acts 1:8a The Amplified Bible
Still committed to the climb,
